Shakespeare es el escritor más importante e influyente en lengua inglesa.
Su obra monumental ha sido traducida, representada y
versionada en teatro con mayor frecuencia y en más países del
mundo que la de ningún otro. También el cine ha recogido su
trabajo en más de 250 oportunidades adaptándola a diferentes
contextos y en diferentes épocas.
Sus obras tratan de cuestiones universales que trascienden lo
temporal: el amor, la ambición, la traición, la vida, la muerte y el
asombro ante un universo misterioso e inabarcable.
En el marco de los eventos conmemorativos por los 400 años de
la desparición física de William Shakespeare presentamos
‘Legacy’, una instalación multimedia inmersiva inspirada en su
obra.
Se trata de una propuesta artística de intervención espacial
donde la multiproyección audiovisual de imágenes y sonidos de
diferentes versiones de la obra del dramaturgo extraídas de la
web, se conjugan en un juego de apropiación, modificación y
reinterpretación.
La idea subyacente es la generación de nuevas narrativas de
‘estructuras desestructuradas’, análogas al campo del
inconsciente, donde las circunstancias y personajes arquetípicos
presentes en la literatura shakespeareana encuentran un nuevo
lugar sin apelar a la linealidad temporal pasado-presente-futuro.
La presencia de elementos robóticos y automatizados nos
aproxima al mundo de las nuevas entidades inteligentes y nos
proyecta al siglo XXI, en un intento de mostrar la potencia de la
temática abordada por William Shakespeare hace ya casi cinco
siglos, y que aún conserva la mima vigencia.

His works deal with universal issues that transcend what temporary: love, ambition, betrayal, life, death and amazement before a mysterious and incomprehensible universe. Within the framework of the commemorative events for the 400 years of the physical disappearance of William Shakespeare we present 'Legacy', an immersive multimedia installation inspired by its work. It is an artistic proposal of spatial intervention where the audiovisual multiprojection of images and sounds of different versions of the dramatist's work drawn from the web, are combined in a game of appropriation, modification and reinterpretation The underlying idea is the generation of new narratives of 'Unstructured structures', analogous to the field of unconscious, where the circumstances and archetypal characters present in Shakespearean literature find a new place without appealing to the past-present-future temporal linearity. The presence of robotic and automated elements approach the world of new intelligent entities and we projects to the 21st century, in an attempt to show the power of theme addressed by William Shakespeare almost five years ago centuries, and that still retains the same validity.
